What is an ecosystem?
Natural Science
Hi kids,
Do you remember what is an ecosystem?
Let's watch and listen to Dr. Binocs to remember it. Good morning Dr. Binocs!
Thanks, Dr. Binocs!
An ecosystem is a community made up of living things (biotic) and nonliving things (abiotic) in their natural environment. Examples of living things are animals, plants and humans. Just remember that nonliving things do not grow, need food, or reproduce. Some examples of important nonliving things in an ecosystem are air, water, sunlight, nutrients, soil and temperature.Ok! Take your Natural science book and open on the new unit, Unit 6. Read the information on page 54 carefully and try to answer the questions 1 orally, don't write, just have a little conversation about the pictures. Then complete the activities on page 55.
Here you have some vocabulary to complete the activity number 2:
Animals: Elephants, giraffes and vulture.
Plants: grass.
Abiotic components: rock, air, sunlight.
