🐘 Mammals 🐬

Good morning everyone,
Take 5 minutes to do your daily routine and then it's time to:

Natural Science
Before Easter, we were talking about animals, vertebrates and invertebrates. Do you remember what is the most important characteristic and the difference between them?
Vertebrates have got an internal skeleton (backbone) and invertebrates haven't got, you're right!
Today we are going to introduce our group, Mammals. Watch this video:

So, the main characteristics are:
  • Mammals are vertebrates.
  • They are born from their mummies' womb (viviparous and they are the only group) and drink their mummies' milk.
  • Most mammals have got hair 👱or fur 🦁 on their bodies to keep them warm. Aquatic mammals have bare skin.🐬 🐳
  • They can be carnivores, herbivores or omnivores depending on their food sources.
  • All mammals breathe air with their lungs.

Today we are going to make our mini-book about mammals characteristics. Print the pages, complete the sentences using the information page, rewrite with a pen or crayons and colour the pictures.

This first page is the information to complete the sentences of your mini-book.
