馃摎 Reading and Comprehension
Good morning children!
I know today is Friday and on Fridays, you usually have Social Science class, but I was talking to your science teacher and he gave me permission to have English class because yesterday was "International children's book" day, therefore today is a good day to continue with your reading skills. 馃榾
So, how was your reading day yesterday? I hope you had a great time and you read at least one English book.
First, take the time to do the daily routine.
Today we are going to practice your reading comprehension. So, we need our English book. Open it on page 148 and listen to the story.
Excellent! Did you like it?
We are going to look at Anna's birthday invitation on page 149.
Here you have some more examples of fancy dress birthday party invitations. You don't need to print them, just look at them to see some more examples.

Could you create your own fancy dress birthday party invitation? Remember if your name finish in -s
just put just the apostrophe ' without adding an extra -s at the end.
Example: Anna's birthday party, John's 8th Birthday but Andr茅s' 8th Birthday.
Follow the models above. Don't forget to write your name, the date, the time, the place and RSVP.
Dictionary:
RSVP: "r茅pondez s’il vous pla卯t", French abbreviation for "please reply"; used at the end of a written invitation to mean that you should let the people who invited you know whether or not you are coming.
Please keep your invitations safe so that when we return to school we can display them and who knows maybe even have our own fancy dress party!!! ;)
Don't forget to read English books, watch TV and listen to music in English every day, OK!

Well done! Turn the page, onto page 149. Write a new title for the story and put the pictures in order, try to do without looking at the previous page. Then check your answers looking at the paragraphs on the previous page.
Great! Now it's time to read and play. Are you ready? Press on the birthday cake.
