馃悗 馃惉馃馃 Vertebrates revision 馃悹馃馃悐馃悕馃惛馃

Good morning children,
Are you practicing "the animals in move" brain break? what is your favourite animal's movement?
Today we are going to revise vertebrates group.  Take a paper and watch this video. We are going to take notes with a "video-dictation" practice. You are going to listen to each group (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5), stoping the video to copy the information on your screen. If you need, you can stop every sentence.
Example:
馃棧 Teacher:  "There are 5 groups of animals"
You: (Stop the video and write on the paper what do you see on the screen): There are 5 groups of animals. Fish, birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians.
馃棧 Teacher:  "Mammals,   Mammals are viviparous. They use fur to protect their bodies. They are Carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Lions, cows, dogs, rabbit and people are mammals".
You: (Stop the video and write on the paper what do you see on the screen):
Group 1: Mammals:

  • Mammals are VIVIPAROUS.
  • They have got FUR.
  • They are CARNIVORES, HERBIVORES and OMNIVORES.
Are you ready? Take a paper and let's go!

Well done! Now you have your own summary of the most important characteristics of the different group of vertebrates. We can talk about it at the next meeting we have, ok! Don't worry if you have mistakes. When you finish, try to correct your spelling using the screen information.

Now, 馃枿 Print these worksheets and complete the information with all you know about the five groups of vertebrate animals. You can use the summary you have just done and if you want the information from the Natural science book.
