Hi children,
We have just finished this unusual school year. You´ve given amazing effort and you´ve done a great job following our lessons and paying attention to your day to day learning.
Well done! 
My recommendations for this summer are:
·      Try to watch some of your favourite cartoons, films or series in English (with or without subtitles).
·      Listen to music and read some books in English.
·      Try to continue practicing your English knowledge every day. Find time to write a sentence in English about something you like . 
·      Play board games with your family and try to use English sometimes. 
·      Draw pictures and describe objects in English.
·      Have fun ;)
·      Play games like “Simon says….” or do role- plays in English.
·      Try to speak English with  your family or friends.
·      Help your family with the daily chores and think  what it is you´re doing in English ( I set the table, I wash the dishes)
·      Say the daily routines in English ( I wash my hands, I brush my teeth, I have breakfast,…)
·      Observe nature, animals, plants and say all you know about them.. Example: “This is a plant. It is a living thing. It needs air, water, sunlight and soil to live”. 

But remember the most important thing is that you and your family are fine. I would like you to have a wonderful summer just as you deserve and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again in September.

Ecosystems

Good morning kids, We are going to introduce a new unit to review living and nonliving things. Do you know what is an ecosystem? An  ecosystem  is a community made up of  living  and  nonliving  things in their natural environment.  Nonliving  things do not grow, need food, or reproduce. Some examples of important  nonliving  things in an  ecosystem  are sunlight, water, air, wind, rocks, and soil. Ok! Take your Natural science book and open on the new unit, Unit 6.  Look at the picture on page 52 and try to answer the questions orally, don't write, just have a little conversation about the picture. Then complete the activities on page 53. Remember to read the instructions carefully.

Lingua Galega e Literatura: O meu barco

Bos días! Esta actividade de galego ten varias partes e leva facela máis dunha sesión de clase, por iso non vou propoñer ningunha de castelán, aínda que a recomendación de ler uns minutos mantense para todos os días. Sabedes algunha canción en galego que teña relación co mar, cos barcos ou cos mariñeiros? A min gústame moito esta parte da letra de  Amor rianxeiro , tamén coñecida como  Vento mareiro  ("mareiro" significa favorable para navegar), unha canción popular galega: “Non lle temas, mariñeiro, ó ventiño do mar, que o vento mareiro dá mellor navegar. Se navegas pola ría de Rianxo verás as estrelas e a lúa darlle bicos ó mar”. Non vos parece fermoso iso de que as estrelas e a lúa lle dean bicos ao mar? Lingua Galega e Literatura: Conto (escritura creativa)

Moi bos días! Hoxe propóñovos escribir un conto con título libre, pero con dúas condicións: 1.- O protagonista ou a protagonista ten que ser un destes personaxes, aínda que podedes cambiarlle o nome e inventar unha historia completamente diferente á da película na que aparece: 2.- Unha parte da historia (ou toda ela) sucede nun castelo. Recordade os pasos a seguir para a escritura: 1º- Pensar.- Pensar o título, a historia, organizar as ideas… 2º- Escribir.- Os textos narrativos, coma o conto, deben ter tres partes: introdución, desenvolvemento e desenlace. Ademais de prestar atención a isto, á hora de escribir hai que fixarse en facer boa letra, deixar marxe, poñer maiúscula cando é necesario e puntuar o texto. 3º- Repasar. Ler o que escribimos e facer correccións se é necesario. Cando rematedes de escribir o conto facede un debuxo para ilustralo. Ánimo, que xa falta moi pouquiño para esas merecidas vacacións!
